COLE DENTON QUALIFIES P3, FIGHTS THROUGH ENGINE ISSUE TO FINISH 14TH AT INEX ASPHALT NATIONALS

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 26, 2025) — Cole Denton demonstrated both speed and perseverance at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the 2025 INEX Asphalt Nationals. Competing against one of the largest and most competitive Legend Car fields in the country, Denton qualified an impressive third out of 46 entries before battling through an early engine issue to finish 14th in the main event.

The No. 46 / 77 Speed Shop Legend Car showed strong pace from the start of the weekend, but as the green flag waved, Denton was forced to manage a worsening engine problem. Despite the mechanical setback, the young driver stayed composed, adapting his line and throttle control to protect the car and still bring home a respectable finish.

“We had great speed all weekend and qualifying third felt awesome,” said Denton. “Unfortunately, the motor started going away right at the start, and it just got worse as the laps went by. My crew gave me a great car, and I did everything I could to get it home. We’ll regroup, fix what went wrong, and come back even stronger.”

While the result wasn’t the one the team hoped for, the performance was another example of Denton’s consistency and composure under pressure.

Looking ahead, Denton will shift his focus toward Late Model racing full-time in 2026. This year, he has already made five Late Model starts, recording one win, five top-five finishes, and only one DNF due to mechanical failure. Up next, he’ll return to action with Naake Motorsports on November 15 at Kern County Raceway Park, where he’ll continue gaining valuable seat time and experience as he prepares for a full Late Model campaign next season.

“I’m really excited to get back with Naake Motorsports,” Denton added. “We’ve built a great relationship, and they’ve given me amazing cars every time out. I’m ready to go to Kern County, learn, and hopefully close the season on a high note.”
