Cole Denton Earns Top-10 Finish in ARCA – Legendary Billy Green 150 at CNS
DACONO, Colo. — Rising young driver Cole Denton continued his impressive progression in stock car racing this weekend with a top-10 finish in the Legendary Billy Green 150 at Colorado National Speedway.
Competing against a field filled with drivers who had previous experience at the fast Colorado oval, Denton delivered another mature and consistent performance behind the wheel of the No. 71 Jan’s Racing machine sponsored by Jan's Towing.
Denton qualified fifth in the highly competitive field and spent much of the race battling inside the top six before bringing home another strong top-10 finish in the ARCA Menards Series West event.
“I was satisfied with a fifth-place qualifying effort, especially with the top four having prior experience at this track,” said Denton. “I held onto fifth for most of the first half and slipped to sixth just before the break. After the restart, I lost a few positions but stayed focused and brought home a top-10 finish.”
While the finish added another solid result to Denton’s growing résumé, the atmosphere and fan support at Colorado National Speedway left an equally lasting impression on the young driver.
“A top-ten finish was a strong result, but what truly stood out this weekend at Colorado National Speedway was the incredible fan support for the ARCA Menards Series West,” Denton added. “The grandstands were full, and after the race the pits were packed with people. Between that and the autograph session, I had the chance to meet so many excited fans. It was my first visit to the track, and the warm welcome from everyone made the experience memorable.”
Denton also praised the Jan’s Racing team for their support throughout the weekend.
“Thank you to Mr. Jan, Jan’s Towing, my crew chief Mr. Chris Greaney, my spotter Mr. Ron Norman, and the entire Jan’s Racing team for their support and hard work,” Denton said.
The performance continues to build momentum for Denton as he gains valuable experience in one of stock car racing’s top developmental series while establishing himself as one of the sport’s promising young prospects.
Up next for Denton and the ARCA Menards Series West will be the NAPA Auto Care 150 Greg Biffle Memorial at Tri-City Raceway on June 6.
