Denton Delivers Strong Pro Late Model Debut at Cordele in Georgia Spring Nationals
CORDELE, GA. (March 29, 2026) — Cole Denton made an impressive transition into Pro Late Model competition Saturday night, turning in a standout performance during the Georgia Spring Nationals at Cordele Motor Speedway.
The young driver from Pascagoula, Mississippi qualified 3rd in the 604 Pro Late Model field and backed it up with a poised and disciplined run throughout the 75-lap feature.
Competing in the No. 62 entry for Ty King Motorsports, Denton remained among the front-runners from the drop of the green flag in a race that went caution-free from start to finish—placing a premium on consistency, tire management, and precision.
With no interruptions to reset the field, Denton maintained his position near the front throughout the entire event, ultimately securing a podium finish in his Pro Late Model debut.
Cordele Motor Speedway has long been a familiar and successful track for Denton. Driving for 77 Speed Shop, he has earned multiple wins at the facility in both Legend Car and Bandolero competition, including championships in each division. That experience was evident as he confidently navigated the demanding surface and long green-flag run.
“This track has always meant a lot to me, and it was great to come back here in a Pro Late Model and be competitive right away,” Denton said. “The team gave me a great car, and I’m proud of how we executed from start to finish.”
